Halloween 2006

When Robyn and I began our life together, we lived in Pittsburgh...in the small borough of Wilmerding, to be precise (near Turtle Creek). During the 1991 Halloween season, when Christian was only 11 months old, we purchased pumpkins for carving Jack O'Lanterns at a little fruit stand on Rt. 30 in East McKeesport. I took this picture and have loved it ever since...beautiful Robyn with the brilliant orange tones of the season around her...

Now, thirteen years after leaving the Pittsburgh area, we are back in the city. This year, we went to that same old fruit stand on Rt. 30 in East McKeesport to get our pumpkins, and we took a new picture of Robyn, even wearing that same old shirt...
...still unbelievably beautiful!

Here are our Jack O'Lanterns for Halloween 2006,
which we carved with the kids on Sunday afternoon...

Here's my brother Kevin at the recent "Zombie Walk" on the South Side...

Happy Halloween!

"And having disarmed the powers and authorities,
he made a public spectacle of them,
triumphing over them by the cross.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink,
or with regard to a religious festival,
a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

These are a shadow of the things that were to come;
the reality, however, is found in Christ."

- Colossians 2:15-17 (TNIV)
