Why Eli so low on the list?

God bless Eli...he had a great Super Bowl and deserves the accolades for that. But Brady might be the best ever, and Peyton isn't too far behind. Ben seems poised to step up to that elite level (only Brady had a better statistical year in 2007), and Favre is, of course, an icon. I think most folks would agree with that Top 4.

Romo seems pretty solid; granted, he has a really good team around him, but so did Bradshaw. Brees seems pretty special to me. So, Eli gets #7. Not bad, considering all the talent ahead of him. A great year would move him up.

I can see your argument for top 4.

But Romo above Eli? Other than loosing a playoff game, what has Romo really done? Eli has certainly overcome a ton of controversy, fans wanting him traded all last year, and won a Super Bowl.

Like you say though, lets see what happens this year as well.
