I have not had a lot of time to attend to this blog lately. That's a shame, because I'd been hoping to comment on General Conference stuff, not to mention the NFL Draft. I'm just too busy, but I hope to get some time soon.
I'm busy in a good way, I think, since things are well with my family, and JUMC continues to be blessed and to be a blessing, to me and to our community. I continue to be in prayer for all that's happening in Fort Worth, and hope that God's Kingdom is furthered by the decisions which are made.

Hi, Keith. I too pray that God's Kingdom will be advanced each day by the mission of Christians, both individually and collectively. But I'm contacting you to ask: if this is not a bad time to interrupt, do you enjoy reading Christian fantasy? And if so, may I suggest a title? I wrote "Outcasts Of Skagaray" because the Lord laid it on my heart to write as a Christian allegory to share. For excerpts and details, please see www.threeswans.com.au I would be delighted if you read it, but if not I still greet you as a brother in the Lord. Blessings.
Thanks for the comment. I just didn't like the language that stated that churches were required to take someone into membership. I don't think that it spoke well to calling people to high commitment and high expectations if we don't wish to see some kind of fruit in the life of the person, and I think that the pastor should have the ability to think about that. I realize that I like the ambiguity of the language that is currently in 214 better than the changes proposed.
Thanks for the prayers. We're exhausted and need strength.
