NFL Kick-off!

The 2007 season starts tonight! Hallelujah! The New Orleans Saints play the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts this evening, and it could be a great game!

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Hell itself to play the Cleveland Browns, arguably the worst team in the league. This game is, I think, more important for the Steelers than the Browns. People expect the Browns to lose, but if the Steelers lose in Mike Tomlin's regular season debut, questions will abound.

I hope, of course, that the Steelers go all the way, but I think that's unlikely. My guess is that they go 10-6 and win the AFC North. Cincy is not as good as advertized and Baltimore won't be as surprisingly good as last season.

As of today, I'm picking the New Orleans Saints over the Chicago Bears in the NFC title game, and the New England Patriots over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC title game. My pick for the Super Bowl is New England over New Orleans, with Tom Brady gaining another Super Bowl MVP title and his fourth ring, putting him alongside Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana in very elite company.

Thank God for football!

Yes indeed thank God for football. I can not wait for football season to start every year. And as I have said every year since 1995 Pittsburgh's going to the super bowl, and my dad will say only if they buy tickets. Time will tell who is right, but until than I will continue to say Pittsburgh's going to the super bowl.
Here we go Steelers!!!

I will pray for your immortal soul.

God does not cheer for Tom Brady.

Go Colts.

Ahh...but prior to regeneration, is the soul MORTAL or IMMORTAL? And does one's answer change regarding Browns fans?

You've got more confidence than I do making such detailed predictions! If you hit even 80% correct, I'm going to start calling you a prophet.

My little brother just told me that the United States Coast Guard Academy Glee Club will be singing the National Anthem. He is, of course, in the Glee Club and will sing. Jealous doesn't even BEGIN to describe my feelings right now.

Yes! NFL is back. I'll watch
the Redskins and suffer, but the
NFL is back on! I think you are
spot on with your predictions.

As a long-suffering Browns fan, I must say that on any given Sunday, anything is possible.

Well after last night we might
have to see if the Saints are
that bad. And Indy looks great.

That's cold!

Brett tell Carla not all are felons just the ones that get all the attention

I comment after the Steelers expected victory over Cleveland. I think Romeo Crennell has to go. How can you use two quarter backs in the first half of your first game and shatter the confidence of both. I think the Browns are bad and that they might as well play Brady Quinn and let him take his lumps. he couldn't be any worse than the other two.

My hopes still rest on the Stelers making it to the Super Bowl again! The Seahawks still looks good in the NFC so maybe we will get a rematch and as a resient of Seattle I can live through all the hype again :-(

FYI
Being a Steeler fan and planting a church near Seattle is not a good church growth strategy.
