Does anyone in your church know that you put Zeppelin on the church sign?
They'll know tomorrow; we have a younger congregation.Really, I want to see how folks react to it...non-church folks who drive by (we get a TON of drive by traffic through the week). I doubt anyone will come to church because we have Led Zeppelin and the Beatles on our sign; but we may get people to say, "Did you see that church?"At any rate, I tried to pick a harmless, pretty quote.I get tired of the cheesy "CH_ _ CH -- What's missing? U R !" type of stuff.
Keith,Check out this website:www.churchmarketingstinks.comSome good insights. Bless you dude...
FYI - Reaction was positive.
I think the sign would be way more attractive if you added a picture of yourself. The one in the tie dye shirt will do nicely.
Generally speaking, church signs are over used for the wrong purposes. People can't read much as they drive by anyway! I too hate the pithy sayings. It doesn't say anything about the church.I like the Zeppelin line. At the very least, it will get people talking or at least asking questions.
I agree completely.Someday, I'd love to put up some R.E.M.-"IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT AND I FEEL FINE" or"THAT'S ME IN THE SPOTLIGHT LOSING MY RELIGION".
