1 - Tom Brady (New England Patriots)
2 - Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts)
3 - Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers)
4 - Brett Favre (New York Jets)
5 - Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys)
6 - Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints)
7 - Eli Manning (New York Giants)
8 - Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks)
9 - Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals)
10 - Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers)
Why Eli so low on the list?
ReplyDeleteGod bless Eli...he had a great Super Bowl and deserves the accolades for that. But Brady might be the best ever, and Peyton isn't too far behind. Ben seems poised to step up to that elite level (only Brady had a better statistical year in 2007), and Favre is, of course, an icon. I think most folks would agree with that Top 4.
ReplyDeleteRomo seems pretty solid; granted, he has a really good team around him, but so did Bradshaw. Brees seems pretty special to me. So, Eli gets #7. Not bad, considering all the talent ahead of him. A great year would move him up.
I can see your argument for top 4.
ReplyDeleteBut Romo above Eli? Other than loosing a playoff game, what has Romo really done? Eli has certainly overcome a ton of controversy, fans wanting him traded all last year, and won a Super Bowl.
Like you say though, lets see what happens this year as well.
