Merry Christmas from George Harrison

  1. Wow...Merry Christmas's from some of the greatest secular humanists of our time! Yoko and George and Paul and the gang!!

  2. Well, none of the Beatles were secular humanists, Brother Brett; in fact, George Harrison was an extremely religious person (though none of them were what we would call committed Christians). So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

  3. Au contraire, mom frere. Any religion other than Christianity is ultimately secular humanism. You are sounding dangerously pluralistic, and not very Chalcedon compliant!

  4. Well, I consider secular humanism its own religion, with its own beliefs and its own rituals. It's very different from say, Hinduism or Islam, which are definite religions with spiritualities very different from secular humanism. All are incorrect, of course, and lead ultimately down to the same gruesome end, but they are not all the same religion. And Muslims or Hindus (or Jews or Buddhists, etc.) are not necessarily secular...they are spiritual and religious, just incorrect.

  6. Are you suggesting that me quoting a non-Christian saying "Merry Christmas" endorses or promotes secular humanism or Hinduism or whatever?
