    You may want to add:
The Little Mermaid (1989); The Evil Dead (1981): Night of the Living Dead (1968); The Haunted (1991)

There are others I could suggest, that are certainly more terrifying than most on your list, but they may be too obscure for your particular taste.

  2. Most of the ones you mentioned I either haven't seen (Night of the Living Dead) or I didn't think were scary (Little Mermaid).

The Wizard of Oz is here because as a kid the Witch & the monkeys TERRIFIED me.

The Sleepy Hollow movie I have here IS the Disney version.

It's ending was a BIG let down, but part one was SCARY.

You've never seen Night of the Living Dead? I envy you that you get to have that first viewing. To say it's iconic is an understatement. While it oesn't pack the punch it did in 1968, you have to keep in mind that it was the first of it's kind. Romero created the zombie that we know today. The low budget quality actually adds to the film. It is ahead of it's time by casting an African-American in the lead. It is amazing. Watch it tomorrow night on "It's Alive." I loved it. Much better than "Cats." I'm going to see it again and again.

And there ia (almost) nothing scarier than Ursula in The Little Mermaid. You think the Witch of the West scared you as a kid? Ursula scared me at age 19!!!

  5. I found Blair Witch the scariest, although I haven't seen even half of the list.

I was literally shaking as I left the theatre.

  6. The Exorcist should be number 1..The first time I saw it was when I was 12 years old and it sacred the living day lights out of me.I couldn't get to sleep 4 2 days (I just kept imaging the white demon's face in my mind)
